Hedlund Off-Leash Dog Park Sign

Whenever Boldfish Creative teams up with the talented builder Justin Brown, magic happens. Actually - it's less magic, and more work. This lovely kiosk is a new addition to the quiver of branded community signs. It sports a covered area and a bench for those not-so-sunny days. Championed by Libby Kirkland and the volunteers that made the dog park a reality, we were delighted to design such a fun sign for our furry friends. Having frequented this park myself, I felt a real connection to this project....

C.E. Barry Interpretive Signs

For this interesting project, Boldfish Creative worked with several students (and their teacher, Maya Araki-Hoshowski) of Hope Secondary’s Grade 9 Humanities class to create and refine the content for a commemorative two-sided kiosk (large format). Content coaching, design and layout by Alison Harwood, Boldfish Creative. The sign is dedicated to the memory of John Koopman - the Fraser Cascade School Trustee who championed this project from the start. We think he would have been proud of how it turned out....

Hope, BC | Community Signage Project + Plan

After completing Phases 1 + 2 of the Community Brand for Hope BC, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be the creative lead and produce a large-scale series of interpretive and community signage. Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park – Interpretive Signage

As a frequent visitor to the Coquihalla Canyon, this was a project close to my heart! We worked with BC Parks staff, AdvantageHOPE, and local resources to create both interpretive and informational signage for this park. A total of 11 interpretive and informational signs were designed in compliance with BC Parks Signage Standards. Most of the signs featured custom hand drawn historical maps and graphic elements. Several different kiosk sizes were accommodated. It makes me smile every time we stroll through the park and see people eagerly crowding around a sign to learn about the fantastic history of this storied canyon and the railway that ran through it!...
